He said he hated the name Pee Wee. ;D  I remember the commercials for the V-65 Magna before the V Max. How did he die? He couldn't have been that old.

Pee Wee almost caused me to buy a brand new V65 Honda while I was living in Houston. I had just moved there and got a job paying some decent money. Saw an article in some hot rod magazine about the quick numbers PeeWee turned in the 1/4. Honda  Salesman wouldn't cut me a deal so I went down the road and bought a new KZ1000.

You made the right move buying the KZ. The Magna was a POS.

I was never a 1/4 mile fan, but for a young lad who read american mags in the 80's he was a pretty big myth. 1/4 miles times meant everything back then.

here's the famous magna tv ad

Yes, first year 1100 Magna, put an RC pipe on it for a really good customer, took it out.....at about 125mph that f*cker went into such a tank slapper my helmet twisted on my head, wore glasses then, somehow gathered it up .....told the customer their was a built in MPH limiter with this model. That bike did not handle well at all! Scary and sketchy! Lol.
