mitshuboshi clutch kit
« on: February 08, 2017, 11:00:00 AM »
Did anybody use this clutch kit ?

http://www.ebay.de/itm/KUPPLUNG-SATZ-HONDA-VERSTARKT-CB750-K-71-78-CB750-F-Heavy-Dutch-Clutch-set-/231282733448?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

I have it in my possession but I don't know should I put CycleX plates or put this kit and change number of plates also ?

I have used something similar.  If all plates look the same, not for K6 and later.
All 8 plates of same model despite my K6-76 must have the outer disk with wider ears. I broke the outer disk twice (2 kits) until I understood that the clutch kit did not match my clutch. K6-76 and later have the outer disk with wider ears.
If not, the ears of the outer disk will have a huge play and it will crack the plate.

I have now std like clutch (cheap from cruzinimage) with Barnett springs

Ok I can combine this 2 kits. I will take standard friction plates and longer springs from HD kit. Springs are 43mm... 3mm longer. A little bit thiner...

Also I was thinking is it possible to combine friction plates from this 2 kits. I can combine them to get stack of 8 friction plates and 7 steel ones with first one with bigger ears. And stack can be of same height like oem one. And use oem 40mm springs .. Probably not a good idea....
