Moral of the story: no matter what transpired before, given the chance most people do the right thing in the end. Good on you for getting it worked out.

Mark McGrew well, the story starts like this:
we bought an race engine, all the bells and whistles from 3M RACING shipped to Australia with all polished covers:
firstly, no polished covers
2:packed by an eight year old and no refund and...............
3; asked for the specs , comp ratio, pistons used, etc etc and cam dial up specs, nope, no replies
pulled the top off, stock friggin standard with a new cam chain, wow !! $8000K  asked again for an explanation and refund- nothing-zip,

I have your address Mark, will call in next time we are in the states!

This was just a few days ago Simon and as moderator, I was asked to look into it.
Nobody likes to be ripped off and I don't like to see things like this going on in the race section of our forum.
As the only Moderator, it's my job to keep it clean and in order.
I have contacted Mark so it's just waiting time now to see if he responds.
I hope you are well and keeping safe my friend.

Sam. ;)

OK guys, I've been corresponding with Mark regarding Murray's motor but I seem to be getting nowhere due to the fact that I don't have any details apart from what he posted above.

In his profile it states he only has 2 posts here on the forum and he only joined last month.
Is this guy someone who has complained about Mark before, left the forum and then rejoined under a different user name ?

HERE IS MY MESSAGE TO MARK, copy and pasted.

Mark, sadly your reputation is coming under fire once again on the sohc4 forum and I didn't want to get involved but everyone deserves the chance to explain themselves. take a look here mate. http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,163731.50.html

HERE IS MARK'S REPLY.

Thank you Sam for your notification, but I thought this was all handled when I responded to this accusation prob 5 years ago, but not sure of actual date. I asked for pictures of the engine and parts in question along with documentation in form of emails or texts also, but nothing  was received here on my end. I believe I offered to make this right if proof was sent. I still would take care of this situation now but would need to talk with this person first. Thank you again. Mark

MY REPLY TO MARK.

This is an old one Mark but the guy has only just brought it up on the forum, he is from New Zealand, see reply number 53, on May 11th.

MARK REPLIED

I’m sure he posted on this forum back in 2015 or how did I become aware of it.?

I REPLIED TO MARK.

Let me go back and do some checking Mark.

No Mark, this guy is Named Murray from New Zealand and he has only just joined the forum last month. He claims he bought a engine from you for $8K and it was not as described.

MARK REPLIED.

I don’t know just what he’s up to as we have been exchanging emails just the past two weeks and there has been no mention of any of this ? Mark.

I REPLIED TO MARK.

In that case Mark, go to the forum yourself and sort it with him there. It makes me sound like an idiot when I'm not given the full details from both parties.

MARK REPLIED.

Thank you for what you have tried to do and I will take your advice.

MY FINAL WORDS TO MARK.

Cheers Mark, it's in your hands.

And that's about it guys, good luck all parties.

Sam.

thank you Sam, George and all who have suffered from M3 racing  for getting involved

yes I was residing in WA -Oz - now retired back to NZ , I have today emailed Mark and given him an opportunity to sort it out once and for all, I am not expecting a reply as ALL previous emails were ignored 5 years ago?

this wasn't the first Mark took money from Australian people and never delivered the goods:
Mark Harmin,- primary drive rubbers,- Hayden Tyrrell- race spec engine and myself -tensioners over a period of 12 months
Sam if you wish to pm , I will CC you the email to Mark and I still have pics of engine pulled down that went to Australia,

Murray, the pictures you are going to post, are they the same as the ones you sent to Mark that he said he didn't receive ?

STILL WAITING FOR THE ENGINE AS PURCHASED FROM M3 RACING, missing all the rebuilt/performance goodies as Mark said was in the engine, Mark said he would put it right, nothing
now you would think he would do the decent thing, BUT, NO!-we are in Australia??????? shipping for this engine and purchase price wasnt cheap
I send photos as requested to Mark just a staling tactic
if you wish to deal with Mark, make sure you have hands when you leave!
