Wanted a CR rolling chassis ( Beware)
« on: February 09, 2017, 06:10:00 PM »
My name is Eddie B. Reason I am posting is I gave Mark Mcgrew with M3 racing a ton of money to build me a rolling chassis 6 plus years ago. He never did build it. He has sent me bit's and pieces. I am building it slowly as the parts trickle in. I will never get all my parts ? He says he is doing all he can. WTF. I dont want someone else to fall into the same trap. This community is not like that. So please beware.

Yes, unfortunately it is true that Mr. Magoo, alias Mark McGrew of M3 Racing, is an outright lying thief.
Still owes me parts for over 2 4 6 years now even after posting on this forum that he would make it right.  >:(
NEVER DID and probably never will.

Buyer Beware!

Updated. Time flies. Thanks Scottly.
Updated after looking up the old thread. http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,80346.msg898722.html#msg898722

I am sourcing parts from Daytona 70 ( Daniel ) in France real good guy and he sends me my parts. Another good source is Peter at RSC works motorcycle parts he sends you your parts too. I am to a point where I need to get the bike built but having to buy the parts twice hurts my money does not grow on trees. Anybody else had any dealings with Mark ? Does he ever come through ? It's been almost 7 years ! Good luck my friend.

That's incredibly dissapointing.  For those who do not know Ed Barna, he operates Classic Cycles in Vermont.

https://m.facebook.com/168148733205234/photos/a.522076491145788.115969.168148733205234/995789470441152/?type=3&source=44

He is a regular fixture on the road racing circuit, with USCRA, AHRMA, maybe others.  He has been very open and patient with me while I asked him a million questions about his bike and racing in general at one of the NJMP events in 2015 when I was first looking into building a road racer.  Thanks again BTW...

We need more guys like Ed around, and having him get the short end of the stick sucks.

Thanks for your kind words George. I cant tell you how many sleepless nights I have had over this mess I am in with McGrew. Not to mention my wife Jody who wants to rip his head off. Anyway I guess it's good to vent our frustrations. This is the first time I have openly shared this with anyone. I am out well over 10 grand with this guy I should not have been so trusting. I learned a lesson here! If your out there Mark please make this right.

I did some back n forth with Mark eons ago (20+ years) but only bought a clutch from him. He & his son now travel the country flat tracking. It doesn't appear he has much to do with our 750's anymore.

He stays active on Facebook under his name in case he's not replying through other avenues.

There is no bloody excuse for this, hopefully something changes for you, but as we all know, he never did well by kmb69.

Really unfortunate. I had some problems too but managed to get the funds back. Eddie....H2Eric is a wealth of CR info too and has worked with Daniel. I am sure he would help you out with logistics.

If someone steal, not deliver....possible to call and report to the local law defenders? Not to Ghost Busters....
There are other Motorcycle guys that has that kind of work to claim money or goods back as their business with a finders fee...., right?

I have a friend that work as a carpenter. He worked for a small company where the owner did not payed him for 2-3 months of work. He talked about it at his next job and a guy there from a famous American motorcycle club (local devision here) asked him if he needed help to get the money back. Just tells us who to talk to...He did not needed that help when the union finally claimed the money for him. My firend was sure hat the case shouldhave  been solved asap with the tough biker.

That's a shame. I feel really bad for your situation. I've become so trusting with online purchasing these days I can't fathom never even getting the parts after spending the money. He should take down that website. I hope you get some sort of resolution.

I have heard from Mark . He is going to make this work out for me. ( his words). & Will have the cash to order my parts and reimburse me for money spent. I hope and pray that is true. I have got to thank you all for your feedback and your concern. You guys are awesome. This is one of the best forums around if you love Honda CB 750's and making them go fast. I will share some pic's of my build tonight when I get home from work. Cheers Eddie B

This is a copy and paste of the reply I got from Mark.

Thank you again. Sam. I messaged each person on the post to clarify their comments, and to see if I could remedy their concerns. Again, Thank you for your concerns.

I hope it works out for you Eddie and Keith, no one likes to be ripped off and it's sad that your problems spilled over onto what is a great forum where we all help each other where we can.

To give you an example of the camaraderie on here take calj737, I had never met him or even exchanged posts with him but when I had my big accident and ended up in hospital for nearly 4 weeks, he visited me regularly, brought me food and then drove me several hundred miles to my mates home in Atlanta, that's what I call a true forum buddy. Thanks again Cal.

I really do hope it works out for all concerned, keep us updated.
