Hey guys.
While work continues slowly on my Cb592 racer build, I thought id share some updates and upgrades to my 550 daily. While wrapping up my ladies "Gentlemens Express" build with sinister, I picked up a beautiful 76 cb550 for myself. This bike was really meant to be left alone, but come on who are we kidding.

After enjoying the bike for most of the summer and eating the ladies dust, it was time for some upgrades.
The goal of this project is to keep reliability, 70s style, and as much period correctness as possible. While some modern upgrades will happen, those will be as un seen as possible. So i quick call and a short last ride brought me to my buddies Dave at Broken Sprocket Garage. We quickly got to work and i needed a ride home.

Forks were rebuilt with Race tech emulators and springs, and polished the lowers.

This 79 cb650 motor has 8000 original miles. Covers are currently getting a "touch of Nils"

All parts are ordered and on the way. Upgrades will include C5 ignition, full Motogadget system, new charging system, Hindle header, cone engineering muffler, 78 cb750 carbs, cognito airbox, led lighting, cb650 tach and speedo, period controls with larger bore for the dual disc, and a few things im sure i missed.
