Cam,

Did you split the cases or do anything with the bottom end?

No Don I didn't. That was a can of worms I didn't want to deal with. Motor only had 7000 miles on it, and turned over nicely, so left well enough alone.

Our thaw was/is still on. One day 65 and sunny, next day 25 and snowing. Very similar to Cals mental state!!! ;D

With only 7K on the clock and a good running motor, why bother?

25 and snow sounds like winter hasn't figured out that it's spring.

So, your Kerker pipes...no interference with the frame? Is it a K or F frame?

Was looking at the tubes with the #1 and #4 tucked up higher than #2 and #3.
Wondering if it will make the kickstand or center-stand if you are retaining it... difficult to operate or have interference.

It's a 76k frame. Haven't mocked anything up yet so we will see how the fitment goes. No center stand will be used, and the kick stand can always be moved. Once this head arrives we will make quick work of this thing!

Cam,

Are you sticking with the Lesters for this build OR are you going to incorporate the disc rear hub from Devin/Cognitomoto OR a disc Lester?

I'm using these wheels on my "592" build
Just had Nils help me Powdercoat them gold

Not sure what I'm doing with the Cognito Disc hub. Probably sell it

Those are pretty snowflakes. The Lesters you have slated for this build are nice too.
A bit of a shame to not use the Cognito rear hub. Maybe re-lace your lady's rear wheel?

Nice dude! Hope you dial this in nicely! After loctiting and torquing the cam gear and my final button up of the rock cover I rechecked my degree and I had a 1/16th of a degree difference in intake and exhaust lobe centers 104.75° vs 104.8125°. With my degree wheel use a long breaker bar to spin the motor. It'll get you a very smooth action and you can be very accurate.

That's it? No duration or lobe separation? How about valve lash? I'd ask Bwaller or another one of the high performance guys if this is enough info to degree with. I've only degreed twice, so I'm still wet behind the ears.

Let me know if you are going to run CDI boxes and need new units.  I have 2 CDI boxes from Rick's Electronics.

I ended up going with the C5 ignition, as well. I wasn't sure if you were sticking with the CDI's but figured I'd offer them up if you wanted new ones.  Good choice!

Glad it got there safe and sound. Oh, and don't go nuts cranking down the rocker shaft pins. With the removal of metal it'll be weaker. Just snug them up :)
