Thanks Nils for the clean a%# covers and head.
Don thanks for all your help. The degree wheel and modified covers are heading your way tomorrow.
And thank you cafe650. Goal of this build was a hopped up, period sleeper.

We need to race! Or at least compare 0-60/0-100 times :) My Chronoclassic does that but I haven't even experimented with that yet.

I was hoping to see who would be crowned champion in an Upstate NY race, but GV forfeited and Nick has to fit in his personal bike when he has free time.  For now, Cam gets the title.  I love that this bike is such sleeper.

Cam, you'll need to tell us how it runs compared to your other 550s.

“There can be only one!” Lol. Thanks Don
Little longer test ride today. 1/4 ignition timing is slightly off, which is weird because yesterday it wasn’t. Also might need to drop a main jet size. But we will see once the ignition is sorted.

I'm going to Spain in December, maybe I can bring a motor as my carry on.

It might "fit" in the overhead bin, but it also might fall through it and land on your lap!

That’s one of GVs yard sale bikes.
Spoked hubs are worth the price alone.

Exactly Don.
Longer Test ride went well. Valves and pistons are seating in and she is running very well. Jetting is very close as per butt dyno. Plugs indicate a tad lean. Air mixture screws are 2 turns out. So I’ll play with those a bit. I’m using stock size CB550 sprockets. She is at 2700rpm at 70mph in 5th gear.

Watch out for that Brooklyn hipster doing 80 mph in 2nd gear!
