77/78 750 F tank badges painted vs not

I got a local body shop to paint and clear an old set of SS badges I had, because masking off the letters was a pain in the ass, same with painting them quickly wiping off the paint with a q tip.

Using 160 grit sandpaper worked really well at revealing the silver badge colour (although I know the factory colour was gold).

Tank is orange.

Which is better?

Might want to clear it again to protect it.

Looks great!  I am working on a set for my F3, good to know on the 160 grit paper, I tried 240 and it was slow going.
