What is the best reason to have it?  I always ride solo, no need to communicate with anybody around me.

This.  ::)
Tunes would be nice, but I would think another distraction could be dangerous.
For those 'group' days. . . . .

I hate to say it but this Sena 10c is a pain in the ass to use.

It hooks to the helmet fine enough, but operating it after the latest firmware update make pressing buttons a guessing game.

Sure would hate to have to fumble with it while riding.  Maybe it just takes a bit of practice to use?

Mine worked but the volume was very quiet.  I would hope that their integrated helmet would have better speakers to help combined with the noise reduction.

Hmmm, my volume is perfect.  I do know that I blue toothed it with my phone and the volume was horrible.  Then I realized the volume on my phone had to be turned up.  Once I did that it was perfect.  Maybe that is the issue for you?  Just wondering

The Bell modular helmet I have it on is also quite noisy.  And, I am old.

I was thinking about getting these.  Earbuds are not comfortable with my helmet on.  I too am mostly a solo rider and I don't want the ability to answer or make calls while I'm riding. I just want to have the option of listing to some dirty electric blues while cruising the open countryside.  About the only time I don't have my phone in front of my face is when I'm out riding.  I want to keep it that way.... as I need to take the time to disconnect.  Anybody tried something like this?

Noise cancelling variety will still allow you to hear your music and not the hearing damaging motorcycle noise. You would also be able to hear horns and things like that...

Just check your local regs on driving/riding and having headphones in.  Some states it is illegal to do so.

That looks just like what I used to have - pair of walkman headphones velcroed to the helmet.  I might try these for the kicks - no pun intended :)

I went with J&M headset because of the good pricing I got from 4wheelonline. Functionality is good. Mic works very well. Have no problems with phone calls or CB bike-to-bike. Music is good as well.

The J&M headset...did you go with their performance model? What communication system did you hook the headset into?

In California, you can only have one earbud in.  Of course, who does that?

Ohio forbids the use of ear plugs.  Pretty annoying if riding for long distances at typical highway speeds as wind noise can be loud enough to cause hearing loss.
I forget their policy on earbuds.  Ear plugs have not ever really prevented me from hearing a car horn or similar things.  It would not prevent you from hearing an emergency vehicle either, no more than even in a quiet or noisy car would. I do not understand that law.

Mooshie,
I have seen a few riders locally on sport bikes with Pink Mohawks attached to their helmet.  What would you call them/that look?

Should you  get one of them to attach to your helmet for when you want to use the GoPro?

Thanks for the info, but is there a headset that can plug into my phone directly?  I would like to get a 10s in the future, but I don't have $200.00+ in the budget right now, to many other things that need to be done first.

http://www.earfuze.com/

I had a set of these, I managed to lose them at some point, but would buy them again in a heartbeat. The standard buds that come with them have good sound and they are all day comfortable while still letting enough ambient sound in that you can hear your engine and traffic around you. I highly recommend them.

Last year I bought Bilt modular helmet with integrated Bluetooth from Cycle Gear https://www.cyclegear.com/gear/bilt-techno-bluetooth-modular-helmet. It works ok but the helmet is still a little loud without ear plugs and the sound tends to get drowned out at highway speeds. However I haven't spent too much time trying to fine tune the experience or to see if foam earplugs cut down on the wind noise frequencies while letting the music in.

Cafe Racer, ever seen a douche bag?
Only one I ever saw was pink...

I wasted a little time on youtube earlier on watching some squids in vblog and their moto hooligan antics, cannot believe some of the stuff that they actually share and "friends" wrecking motorcycles and getting hurt trashing their bike and creating mayhem...showing their actions and telling where they are...
Riding with little in protective gear.
A buddy goes down and they take his helmet off.
They rip open body parts in wrecks and break things and then encourage others to not ride above their skill level.  One had a clip where his friend is pulling wheelies the entire clip at various times until he does it one time and over revs wrecking and trashing the bike.  A bit of road rash from his stunting  on the heel of the hand of shredded glove his forearm and on his back,  happening shortly after starting out when he was lucky enough to have been going slow rather than 50-60 as he had been going at other times pulling sustained wheelies.  You would think they might buy a clue but somehow do not.  How do you trash a sport bike and then replace it without paying a fortune in insurance coverage and how do you explain it to your insurance company that you destroyed the front and rear plastics and barrel rolled it sideways for good measure...all captured on film.  Presumably you have full coverage on the bike to afford a replacement that looked new kawa in green....otherwise, how do you afford an 8-12k bike or 6k used bike.  The guy that went down wearing street clothes, helmet, and shorty gloves that end up shredded and they were going slow.  Next time the guy is back in similar streetclothes but is wearing a chest protector was total for safety gear and on a green Ninja.

I am going to throw this one in to the mix, as I am impressed after 1 short ride.

https://www.amazon.com/VR-robot-Motorcycle-Bluetooth-Heaphones-Motorbike-Black/dp/B01N4NUJXO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496413131&sr=8-1&keywords=VR-robot+Motorcycle+Helmet+Headset%2C+Bluetooth+intercom+Headset%2CWireless+Helmet+Heaphones%2CSpeakers+Hands+free%2CMusic+Call+Control%2CBluetooth+Motorbike%EF%BC%88Black%EF%BC%89

Got it yesterday, rode to work this morning and tried it out.  I was impressed with the volume at 60 mph on the freeway through town and quite a bit of wind noise, as it was already 15 mph winds.  It was loud enough, that when I turned off the freeway, I had to turn it down.

First of all, you will need a helmet that is "speaker ready" with cutouts for the speakers.  Also, it probably works much better in an open face helmet, but I still have enough room for the mic boom to fit in front of my mouth in my full face helmet.  Bluetooth works well.  I had my iPod in my jacket pocket connected wirelessly.  You can control the volume on the boom as well as change songs and answer calls.  I had my wife call me last night when I had my helmet on in the house.  It was fine with no ambient sound, but I don't think it would be very good for making/answering calls while cruising down the road.

I will never run my phone on this headset anyways, as I ride to get away from all other distractions.  But, I do like to have some music playing at a safe volume while I ride.  For that purpose, I think this headset is going to be perfect.  Also.... at $19.99 Amazon Prime.... it really cannot be beat!
