While going through some parts while scrounging for some K5 stuff I need for an engine I noticed these 2 different style of cam chain covers. Wonder when the change happened ? Bet Frank 754 will know

I have noticed it, not sure when they changed, the part number should show it. I think at least 3 version, I think K7 and K8 might be thicker.
I dont think its for strength, I think its for restricting oil out the breather hose.
