Under the seat electric box

Hey guys i need some help. I put an electronic tray under my seat and i was wondering what you did with your electricals to make it all fit. I bought a cognito moto deep electrical tray. I was hoping to keep my stock fuse box etc.

Usually swapping to a solid state Reg/Rec helps. If you want to keep "all" the stock electricals, it will be snug under there. And I mean snug. You'll also need a much smaller battery or to relocate the battery elsewhere.

I installed my Rick's R/R on the bottom of my tray, saves space inside, and better cooling there. Using a Li-Ion battery saves a ton of space. There are aftermarket fuse solutions that are more compact than factory.

Here's a two shots of my electrics from couple years ago. This has all the stock wiring in there but with a Rick's reg/rec under the tray. I've got an m-unit now and that really cleans up the mess.

Jcop550, looking at Dave's pix, you can see some of the fuse holders I was referring to. If you choose soft pvc wire sheaths, it'll save a lot of space over the rigid tubular sheathing Dave used.

Thanks i will do that to free up some space. I was messing with it last night and i think ill be able to fit it all with the reg/rec under the box. Just waiting on my battery to come in so i can see if it works or not.

This may be what Nova is talking about. That split corrugated loom is awful stuff. I ordered a sh*t load of the expandable polyester sleeving from McMaster Carr.

You can see the stuff in my new wiring.

I have to fit all of that and a battery in a small box. I dont have any extra space unfortunately.

That CM box is so short, I'd make your own, even if it entails removing the horizontal bracing. If you remove the bracing, and weld in a full length box, it would provide more bracing than factory, anyway. That's what I did.

Tie a full length, shallow box into both seat rails, and yo'll increase rigidity in the frame. Win/win.
