Topic: CB125 tires

Whatsup gang,

Im tryin to find some tires to put on my 79 cb125.  Im planning to do some mini road racing on it, so the grippier the better, im not too concerned about mileage because it wont be ridden much besides on the track.

Ive done lots of searching on this, and the best leads i have gotten have come from the cb160 guys at group w racing.  They are using avon roadrunners.  Unfortunately, avon doesnt make the roadrunner for a 17inch rim.

The cb has a 2.75 x 18 front and 3.00 x 17 rear.  I think these translate to 80/90 x 18 and 90/90 x 17.  Correct me if im wrong please.  The closest sized tires i have found so far are the pirelli mt75's.  They offer a 90/90-18M/CTL 51HFRONT and 100/80-17M/CTL 52P Rear.  These are going to be a bit wider, but I won't have the fenders on the bike so that will give me a bit of extra clearance. 

Will these tires work?

Any other tire recomendations are welcome.

Hello. I know this post is old, but, anyway. There is another tyres that would fit. I've found it in Spain, I don't know if they are on sale for the USA market. Pirelli City Demon 3.00 - 17 M/C 50P REINF for rear and 2.75 - 18 M/C 42P for front.
