« on: February 23, 2017, 11:30:51 AM »
I see a tank/ side covers for sale in far out psychedelic color . Said to be genuine CL450 (72-74)Honda option called Flying dragon color. Did they make optional color kits for the CB750?

Where are you seeing these?  I've got a cl350 that needs side covers and a tank.  I'd be curious to learn a bit more about these.

Thanks Flybox for digging up old article. I saw a set of NOS ones on ebay a while back. Way too rich a price tag. Too bad they didnt make those for more models, that would have been Far Out.

I think these were for 350 and 450 bikes. I did something like this with my CL450 when I rebuilt it a few years ago. It's not that obvious in this pic but I had the whole bike powder coated "grabber blue" and then I dip painted the side coves and tank in black/white/silver with a 2k clear topcoat.
