Hello from NC
« on: February 23, 2017, 06:03:35 AM »
Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm just getting into 70s CB750s and am currently looking to purchase one to restore/ride. I'm new to CB750s, but not motorcycles. I currently own and ride Harleys.

If anyone has any leads on clean pre-76 750s or wants to thin their collection please hit me up.

If anyone is in the Raleigh, NC area let me know.

There's ample bikes for sale in your area. Whether you want one all done, or a resto project you just need to indicate. There's also plenty of 550s and a couple of 350s down that way.

Budget? Condition? Easy to help you find what you seek-  :)

Thanks for the reply. I'd like to find a restored, semi-restored or even original in great condition for around the $5k range. I understand that the K0, K1, K2s all fetch a higher price which I'm not concerned about too much for my first dive into a classic 750K series. Im definitely looking for K6 or older though.

I've seen some unreasonably priced basket cases on Craigslist and eBay which seem to be driving up the price range of these bikes. On this site I've also read a few responses that a fully restored K6 or older can be had for around $5k or under, which is why I'm putting out that budget.

Any help with finding one of these beauties would be much appreciated.

Hey man- I just moved to the Raleigh region.  Don't have a bike for sale unfortunately and just got one myself, but thought I'd say hey.

Hi Jake,
Glad to hear there's someone else right in the area. If you haven't already done so, you should check out Devolve Moto on Glenwood; it's a pretty unique bike shop/clothing store/bar/coffee shop...plus they do group rides. I'm going to be active as much as possible for the group rides once it gets a bit warmer out.

Well, although I was, initially looking for a CB750, I ended up stumbling on a 73 CB500 that was in great condition. I ended up buying it and will need to replace a few cosmetic things, but it's overall in great shape. I'll definitely still be looking for a 750...but will enjoy sprucing up this 500 for the time being.

Please don't chop up that bike. If you're wanting a cafe, I have a nice 550 for sale. I might even be interested in a partial swap, since that's such a nice example.

I absolutely will not cafe it or chop it in anyway. It's in beautiful condition, same owner for 40yrs. I am going to cosmetically restore it to as like new condition as I can.

I will be posting in the wanted section soon as I need to replace a few stock parts.
