Topic: throttle sleeve and grip advice

took grip off old broken throttle sleeve with wd40.  it was on tight.  got the new throttle sleeve on bike and working.  when trying to reinstall grip to new throttle sleeve the grip seems too big.  spins on the throttle sleeve.  any advice?  throttle sleeve fits bars perfectly and i've been riding without a grip on that side.

Sounds like a grip for a larger tube. Most grips for 7/8 bars has a smaller and larger as per the proper side.

so i should measure the diameter of the throttle tube before selecting a set of grips?

+1 on those grips !  A friend of mine gave me a new pair of those as a gift once with a sly smile and a laugh after we went for a ride together  and I showed him the 'waffle' marks in my hands from some old half worn out stockers. Pair came on my mighty Kaw Z1 also and they are comfy.

Throttle tube is 1", handle bars are 7/8".    Grips are not made to be reusable, the WD may have caused a reaction.

Those get good reviews here too.  I plan to try a set.

BTW - use aerosol hair spray when installing them. And check throttle tube length BEFORE install, you may need to trim it.
