Hello people!I just got a 1978 CB750SS project
« on: March 10, 2017, 04:44:33 PM »
I took one look at this bike on Craigslist and had to have it. I had a 1972 CB750 8 years ago. I was standing next to it and a lady hit another lady in cars and ran over my  1972 CB. I found a project bike that was an ice racer at one time and parked it outback since there was no title. I now have found this 78 SS and am happy to say it has a title and what's there is in nice shape. I'm currently cleaning the carbs since it runs like crap. Doesn't smoke or knock, but have to keep choke on and partial throttle. If I can find a seat on here and some other parts, get it running right, I should be back in business this summer. I did have a 750  Hondamatic for a short while. It was very clean. I'm a clutch kind of guy though. I sold it.
I'm by no means a great bike mechanic and am thankful for any help I do get. If there is an answer I have to a problem for someone I will chime in.Peace and thanks for keeping these sweet CB's alive.
