So this has been quite the week. Last Saturday I was driving to work and it was dumping rain here in Las Vegas. Hardest I've seen in a while. While on a curve on the freeway, my car hydroplaned and the rear started to come around. I tried to counter steer, almost had it saved, but then it whipped around hit the dividing wall and that was it. My first car accident. Car was a 2006 lexus is250, has been paid off for a long time and drove great. What sucks is I just put a new transmission in (fingers are still bleeding haha) in hopes of keeping it going.
managed to hit all 4 corners and all airbags, so I'm sure it's a total loss. Luckily I'm not badly injured, except for my pride, as my coworkers responded to the accident
So that's the negative. Positive is I wanted a truck but kept putting it off (this isn't the way I wanted to go about it) and the perfect truck popped up 2 days later for sale locally. 2004 F150 Lariat, 4x4, 4 door with only 100k.
Now in my driveway. And my CDL that I've been trying to get for work just showed up yesterday in the mail. Rollercoaster of a week! I think I can relax for a minute now.
