Throttle spring pressure
« on: March 14, 2021, 05:10:37 AM »
Is there anything that can be done about the throttle return spring pressure. It just seems to be way tighter than it needs to be. I searched but didn’t see anything on it.

I went to a local auto parts store and bought a bag with an assortment of throttle springs, different lengths, diameters and so on. I picked two with one inside another, it's easier on the wrist but still strong enough to snap the throttle closed by itself.

Way to stiff, buy a new spring at hardware store.

CB750 stock carb spring is waaaay too hard.
I found one very expensive at Webike.  I did not find a spring locally.
It should be easy to find if finding a shop selling this type of springs.

My K2s throttle is nice with the Webike spring. It will not return complety from WOT without help.
From normal speeding ticket speeds it does.

Which bike is this question for?

On the early CB750s there is a throttle return damper/adjustable friction set screw on the bottom of the right hand controls. That can affect the snap-back/throttle return.
