I was at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI recently and was surprised to see a Honda CB750K1 on display. It is all original with dents in the pipes. For OEM paint she looked really good.

That's cool.

Have you got a grinder John? Just get some nice stainless washers and grind a flat on 'em. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Terry the original paint Henderson brought about 500K USD ..

Yeah, well I looked at it again Frank and it's actually an Indian 4 not a Henderson, (I know that they're related) this one is restored, but it looks like new, I'd ride it! ;D

That right there is my favorite motorcycle.

Be careful to spell it correctly if you google it John, if you leave out the "e", you'll end up in a gay dating site. Don't ask me how I know, but geez, sometimes too much beer makes my butt hurt! ;D

Got the tree painted and ready to install as soon as I get a break from this kitchen remodel project. Here are a couple before and afters. Yes, those are my custom stainless D washers there :) Still have some left for anyone needing extras for future use.

ooooh...shiny!  You use gloss black?  I just had a unicorn powdered, he did it semi-gloss and it appears to be like the original.

Great find and it's coming along perfect, I'm so jealous of the gauges, mine need a facelift.

Now that deer hunting and the holidays are over I can start to get back at this 69KO. That caliper piston was to pitted for my liking so I ordered a new one from member Godffery's Garage. Got the piston seal installed and have the caliper back on the bike. I rebuilt the master cylinder a few months ago, but can't get it on the bike until I get the below issue repaired.

Before I can get the bars back on the bike I have to address the headlight switch contact block. As is usually the case that plastic nipple which is in contact with the headlight thumb control was broke off. I do have the broke nipple and am considering trying JB Weld to see if will hold. If not, I may just try to build up a nipple with JB. I thought about drilling carefully into the switch and putting a small screw in there, but I am sure that plastic is just to brittle to handle a screw. If anyone knows where I can get a new or used one let me know.

Looks like another K0 will live on!
I was looking through the photos and saw the gold K1 in the museum. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that noticed the left side cover wing is facing rearwards. I don't know how many times I have come across this situation. I've even seen some high dollar 750's for sale with backward wings on the side covers! I guess they think Honda would put a side cover that way.
What happens? Does one fall out and the repairer just buys the wrong one?
Gotta wonder

I did send a message to the museum about that side badge. They sent me a "thank you for pointing that out." Interested to see if they changed it?
