Oh, >inside the carbs<. Well there's four more, then. Each idle pilot screw has one, meters fuel. And, a small washer goes in there to seat the spring onto. I guess it sort of looks like one from a pen. Way stronger, though. A pen type spring probably wouldn't hold it's setting under vibration. But, it was probably better than no spring.
Anyway, that makes seven different kinds of springs on these carbs. Not counting the little wire device on the float valves. It's kind of springy, too.
