Cb500 stock seat question
« on: March 03, 2017, 09:22:01 PM »
Got a new cover installed and it ms looking good except the trim.... I see David Silvers has the press on trim.

When I was removing the original cover it looked as though the trim and cover were all one piece. Is this so? Id gladly reuse it if I could. Coat as much for the trim as it did for the entire seat cover and belt!!

Also I jave seen this on a ton of old hondas: looks like there was some protective film that wasnt removed(like on a new cell phone or tv if you follow me) and has been chiefed up here and there. Looks like it could/should be peeled. Was this originally designed to be removed and most people never noticed it to do so or just some laminate oveer the chrome trim that got scuffed here and there over the years. I was guessing the latter ...

That clear film was intended to be left there, in those days. Chrome-on-plastic materials got better in the 1990s and that film pretty much disappeared by then. ;)
