Having just restored a '76 750K last year I can see there are a lot of new parts on the bike and they all cost $ and a lot of time to replace.  If the compression and leak down on the engine are good then I would say $5,200 is reasonable.  If you are looking for 100% stock original then that's not the bike to buy.  Make an offer and see what the guy says.

The real question: Can you share the guys info after you make your decision on the bike? I'm sure the guy would appreciate the advertisement. He may even sell a few bikes to members here. Maybe he will cut you a deal for the help.

I forgot to mention that the CB750 look really good!
I bike like that in good OEM shape will usually be advertised for around 6000-7500 USD here.  Restore one which will include painting everything, maybe new tank with side covers or reapaint old, 4-4, engine restore, new tires, new rims...new bearings.... 7000USD in restore cost only...?

The CB750 have increased in price in USA too? I have seen rather good ones people have found for very small money.

I got a original CB750k5 for $3500. It's going to need a bit of love, but it runs. I live in the PNW and there don't seem to be many in my area. So I had to purchase out of state and have it shipped to me.
