I am new to bikes and have a 1974 CB750 that is in overall good shape. I am doing a light cosmetic resto on it to make it look good again - not shooting for perfection, but do want it o look clean and reasonably stock.
Like a lot of these bikes, it came with aftermarket pipes that are pitted and a bit rusty, and frankly are a bit too loud for my tastes. I would really like new stock ones, but as we know they cost an arm and a leg. Looking at the aftermarket ones available, I prefer the 4 into 2 look, but really don't have a feel for what ones are good or not. I have made a few calls to firms that sell them, and generally get somebody that when it boils down to it really doesn't know the product.
I would appreciate any recommendations and insights anybody has on this. I did a search on the forum here but didn't find what I was looking for.
Thanks in advance!
