Glad you got it sorted out. I'll just add for anyone searching this in the future, I had the same issue with Avon Roadrider's on my '74 CB350F. There was a bump that I initially thought was an out of balance tire. No amount of weights or beads would fix it. Finally I noticed a spot that was just ever so slightly not seated properly. It looked like the tire wasn't being pushed up onto the bead shelf, or whatever you call it. I couldn't get it to sit until I removed the tire completely, polished the rim to a shine (there was some VERY minor pitting right in the spot in question, amazing how little will cause you problems), used tire lube and inflated it back up. Pop! The tire slide right into place and the pulsing was completely gone. Smooth as butter now.
