Murphy's law on St.Patty's day.
« on: March 17, 2017, 10:01:45 AM »
Just venting here:

Left my petcock on last night with a drippy carb and woke up to a tank full of gas in my driveway. After rebuilding my motor, I can't get the 3rd cylinder to fire cant figure out the gremlin in my carbs, AND my battery went dead!

Happy St. Patrick's day!  ;D

Did you do the pressurized air, carb cleaner and wires in all orifices on all the carbs? If you didn't you'd be a lot cooler if you did.  ;)

Is the cylinder that's overflowing the same one that won't fire?

I used to have an issue with one plug always getting wet and not firing when I went to start it up. My float looked ok visually, but realized the little spring in the pin wasn't working as it should.

Yes the cylinder that wont fire corresponds to the carb that is out of whack.
