Nice! Quite a few bass players here!.

Budman, Les Paul is an epiphone. I bought it for my wife to learn. I can't play guitar very well. I've been playing bass for 20 years, but never got into regular guitar though.

I'm not much of a guitar player either.  I built custom basses for 10 years.  I quit building a few years back.  My website is still up.

Been contemplating getting back into it.  Maybe next year.

Some beautiful pieces.

And add me to the "playing bass for so long but can't play guitar" club.

Love the builds.  I read through all your links last eve.  It is also great to see more musicians on the board.  :)  I am still at it myself.  I am presently recording my second album.  My band plays one or two weekends a month.  That is enough for me at 52.  Something about music, motorcycles and muscle cars that just go well together.  :)  Keep it up!  Following along.

More news on the head. Plan was to install iron guides on the exhaust side, but one of the guides fit too loosely in the head. Mike found some oversized iron guides, and is doing what needs done to fit them. I had to get out on two wheels today, so I went to the trails on my mountaim bike  ;)

Got my head back today from Mike. Looks amazing, and I know with all the work he put in its right! Gapped/installed rings, pistons, and painted the head. I wanted to get farther along, but installing the jugs kicked my butt this time. So I'm stopping here for today

...and she runs again! Just fired it up, took like 2 seconds, great oil pressure right away and sounds strong. Hopefully this is it for a long time. I'll get some pics tomorrow with a shakedown ride. My son and I are both sick with the flu, so I'm done for today👎

Either this was posted in wrong thread, or it's the best random post I've seen in a bit haha. I play a bit of guitar but mainly a bass player .

It was in response to palepainter about seeing more musicians on these boards. Sorry sometime I get notifications from Tapatalk and get all disorganized. Anyway, love the colors on that bike.

Feeling good enough to go on a break in ride. She feels great! No smoke anymore! Had an issue with clutch plates being stuck from sitting dry, but fixed that last night by rocking back and forth.
