New member, starting on a CB400F

Hello all!

I finally got some motivation to start working on my CB400F again recently, and decided I'd register on here.

I had a really bad experience with a machine shop taking over a year to bore out and hone my cylinders, and actually completed a whole bike build on another bike while it was out. But the 400 is back on the table now!

My former/other bikes are older Japanese stuff, and a couple of KTMs :)

I enjoy off road/adventure riding, and my inspiration for my custom stuff mostly comes from Japanese builders like Brat Style, An-Bu, Hidemo, etc

1972 CL350 (my first bike!) Pictures and HID retrofit by FGKouki. I sold it for way too cheap on eBay...

1978 XS650, my current sort-of-done-but-never-really-done project

2001 ZRX I should never have sold. This is from a blue ridge parkway + skyline drive trip (We were rained on 9/10 days, and one of us was on a Grom)

2015 Ducati Scrambler I had for a year. Rode it up and down the east coast, and when I sold it it was by far the highest mileage scramber I could find for sale. Lost lots of $ on that one too but it was a fun bike!

2007 KTM 990 Adventure I sold the Scrambler to buy. Did a Colorado trip last year on this monster (highway there, off-road, then highway home).

2005 DRZ supermoto that's kind of my beater bike

2006 KTM 400 EXC. I don't really know why I have this and the DRZ. I will probably sell one of them soon. Been considering keeping the supermoto wheels from the DRZ for a project :)

Yeah, I checked up weekly for like 3 months, then just kind of gave up and called him once in a while. Eventually I got mad and asked them to give it back, and he didn't have it in the shop. Somehow I ended up with a 400F cylinder bored/honed though, so he either found it or got another one?

Sucked.
