Saying Hello
« on: March 18, 2017, 11:50:09 PM »
Just stopped in to say Hello.

First: dave500 is alive and well. Spoke to him this morning.

I don't currently have any SOHC Hondas so there's not much to add. Plus I've started a bike shop so I don't feel right adding to the discussion here.

I've been battling some health issues but I'm building a few things here and there ...mainly 2 strokes because they're fun and rude.

My Kawasaki KR-1 collection keeps growing:

The original:

New S model with JL pipes, 36mm carbs, Zeeltronic ignition etc

Building a big bore 2 stroke for the street...Yamaha IT465

And a few other things.

Mostly on Facebook. Feel free to have a look.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure and say hi to Dave for me.  Would love to have any 2stroke street bike...I have goofing around in the dirt with an it250, so can imagine the 465 is fun.
If it works good, it looks good...

Good to hear from you kghost...miss your contributions. Tell Dave I said hello and I miss him too and especially his video uploads. I find him to be a character and pretty good brain trust on the 500/550 models. That is missed, with him and TwoTired absent there is a void that has not been filled.
Other bikes thread/area would be fine for posting...even if it is Kawa and Yamaha and two stroke...lots of members own multiple brands and we aren't snobbish...you are part of the family, even if you aren't currently owning a SOHC/4.
Sometimes like family we can be jerks to one another, as Dave knows too well and you get tired of it and say __ it and have to take a break.  I hope Dave and you find your way back to the forums more frequently. Granted you may have other interests, that's OK.

G'Day Tim, good to see you're still around mate, say G'Day to Dave for me, and ask him to drop by the pissed off thread, where most of us Aussies like to hang out! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
