Hey all, cb750k8 from Manitoba Canada
« on: March 23, 2017, 09:45:11 PM »
Hey folks.

I'm a Bit of a hack...   Used to have an 82 virago 920.  It was fun but a bit of a pain.

I recently picked up This '78 CB 750 which was redone by a young German fellow.  He is not a hack.  started with an almost mint classic.

So far so good.   But it's still cold in Canada, here anyway.  It's currently -4 c.

Looking forward to enjoying this bike and working on it.

Thanks all.

"If it aint broke don't fix it!" but if it's working, take it apart so when it is broke, you know what your doing...  we'll see how much $ this theory will cost me. lol

needing to figure a decent (black preferably) rear fender that will not stick out too far past my seat. Maybe a tach... i'm leaving the air box on, (which looks like a 750F air box

Thanks again.

needing to figure a decent (black preferably) rear fender that will not stick out too far past my seat. Maybe a tach... but other than that I'm leaving the air box on, (which looks like a 750F air box if I'm not correct)  Many of the airboxes are marked with an F.  They are used over several years
the front fork looks like it is set up to have dual disk brakes in the front. Were all 78's set up with the option for dual disk in the front?  Not an option from factory or a dealership (except on the later 750Fs), but an easy mod to complete.  I did it.

either way, just giving a little more info where I'm at with my bike. I put the front fender back on and the rear fender/engine guard portion for now. Might not get a tach... I can generally tell when I'm pushing the engine too hard but we will see. Thoughts?

Anywho. Thanks all. I've been reading religiously this forum and all the discussions (you folks have been busy). I know I will be supported in this forum.

Thanks again.
