I recently picked up a 1976 CB550F that the original owner installed a Crane Cam in sometime in the late 1970s or early 80s I believe. I'm assuming it's a mild grind by the smooth idle at 1000 RPM. Does anyone here have any knowledge on what the valve lash might have been on one of these cams? I called Crane and they said they need a grind number and with that they may or may not be able to give me the specs.. I don't really want to tear into the engine to find out. Any sources of old technical info that anyone would have?
