Topic: Is this tach gear cb650 cam toast

Cam came 2 days ago had a look at it today, spotted this

I can guess what happened, but my question it what are the cams made from I'd guess cast steel and what filler rod would you use 304 or 308 maybe?

I don't see any reason to introduce stainless to it. I'd stick with my ER70s2 and watch my heat. If you did choose stainless, I'd be opting for 309.
