Hello, very new to the site.  Looking to buy and restore an old CB and hoping to get educated before buying.

Thanks!  I'll probably do just that.  It seems that most of the old CBs are either in really nice, restored shape (for lots of $) or in really sad shape and in need of just about everything.  I guess I'm looking for something in between.  I intend to cafe it.  So I guess I mostly need to have a decent engine, exhaust, frame.  Anything to avoid like the plague?

On 750,s check for cutout frame rails under the tank, and sprocket area damage on engine cases.
On 77/78 the sprocket cover is tricky to take off. Might be able to see in there with a flashlight.
