Rear hub stud thread size ?
« on: April 01, 2017, 05:11:36 AM »
Hello members I recently bought new rims and wide rear kit from cognito moto and went to install the new sprocket and spacer it came with but the double end studs on the rear hub are too short so I'm gunna try and find some longer preferably heavy duty double end studs
The parts list that I have say the stock are 12x54 so I'm guessing if I can find some that are 12x65 I'll be good but I just wanna confirm the thread size on the studs if anyone knows by memory ?

Also I'm gunna have to fabricate and new brake link torque cause the wide tire in the back rubs against the stock one

Likely they are 1.5 pitch. All "studs" are double ended. Thats what makes them "studs" and not bolts/screws.  ;) Just take an existing one with you to the local hardware store and screw it into the pitch gauge to confirm its threading.

The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S.
