Tire to replace K627
« on: June 02, 2005, 09:38:33 AM »
The '81 CB650C I'm fixing up for a friend has Dunlops, an F11 in front and a K627 rear.  The front tire is in good shape (plenty of tread and no cracks or signs of dryrot), but the rear needs replacing.  Since these are bias tires, is it OK to fiit a different brand on the back?   I'm trying to hold costs down and I expect this rider will put less than 1000 miles on the bike this season and won't be riding aggressively at all.

Dunlop recommends their GT501 for the 650C.

TIA.

Why not just buy another 627?  Thats what I always get for the 650's.   Not overly $ but not to cheap.  Never had any probs and only one flat from puncture.
