Topic: Motorcycle Lift Table

Hello Friends,

I'm finally admitting that my knees hurt and I'm tired of dealing with the different styles of small motorcycle Jacks.  It's time for a Lift Table.  I'm wanting to do a scissor lift type that has the multiple locking positions and air over hydraulic.

I'm looking at the different offering from Redline Tables.  Max price range around $900.   

Here's one I'm looking at as I can do a local pickup in central Indiana (if I decide to lug it to my house in my truck).

Actually that particular table (Titan 1000D) is looking better and better.  I just found a local guy who is set up as a distributor.  I can go right to the Titan warehouse with him and pick it up for < 700$ (unless the story changes between now and next week)

I have the Handy Lift and it is pricey. Sure saves on the back and knees.

Any lift is better then no lift. Find a coupon from Harbor Freight, and you can get the $600 table for $300.
Ya, you have to work your leg a bit, but look at the money you save by not having to go to the gym!

Agree. When working on the bike, it takes 2 minutes or less to put it where you want. 30 seconds usually. Then it stays in that spot for hours, if not days. I have this lift, and don't miss the air version. I got mine off Craigslist brand new for $100. Best $100 ever spent.

We had the Handy lift when I worked in a shop.  It is great for everyday commercial use. However, for the occasional user the foot pump HF one is more than adequate.  50 pumps and it is fully up. I have two, spent less than 300 each. My .02...Larry

I might get one of those HF lifts for my home shop when they go on special again.  The Handy would be nice, but then I'd have to get a compressor too, and I surely cannot justify it.

I got the harbor freight lift and modified it with a wheel chock also from harbor freight.

Agreed. I have two HF lifts in my shop and both work fine but you can tell you get what you pay for. A friend of mine has this:

Built mine for around 100.00.  2 sections held together with a bolt.  Also used a Harbor Freight wheel chock.  I know it's not a lift and I have to use a ramp, but when I am done it stores easily.  In fact it outside on the patio covered with a tarp, stacked one section on another.

I looked at the Handy Lift at my local Honda shop and the high quality and construction of this lift. I wanted 100% piece of mind if I wanted to leave the Goldwing up there for a period of time. Plus, I like that if I need to get up on the lift for some reason it is very stable.

i have moddet a old used lift tabel..use a hydralik pump from a Wood" cracker"..nice to llift  bikes vitaut to have to manual pump..so i can have a hand on the bike vhen it goes in the air..

I got the one from harbor freight.added a condor wheelchock.it picks up my 85 Goldwing no problem very stable

It really seems like the gold standard.  If I was lifting a GL, I'd prefer something as robust.

I would very much like to get a lift for the bike - but I only live in a modest home with a one-car garage.  It's tough enough to keep and maintain 5 motorcycles, even tougher if the garage was utterly packed with enough tooling to stock a full service garage.

I'm right there with you...I have a small house and a detached 1.5 Car Garage which I'm getting ready to insulate as soon as the power is run. But the lift really won't take up much room as it will simply sit in a place where a bike previously sat.  It will probably always have a bike on it, so the space was already taken up.

Only 5?   You need to up your game, buy another 5 bikes and get a 3 car garage!

Buy a shed for the back yard, put everything in it you don't want in the garage. Make the garage a workshop, not a storage room.

I wish the lift had 4 casters instead of two. That would make pushing it up against the wall a lot easier.
