I considered making a z1 clone out of my 80 but decided I'm not informed or dedicated enough to pull it off. I even found early fork lowers with reflector bosses.

Graeme Crosby was my hero "back in the day", he could ride anything fast, and he had a crazy sense of humor! I remember one race where his nearest rival broke down on the last lap, so Graeme turned his bike around and picked him up, and they rode over the finish line together! I bought his book and asked him to sign it for me, but I'm ashamed to say I've never read it.

Big bucks for a custom hotrod Z1, but "126 BHP at 7500rpm will rev to 10" and Graeme's name will make it very desirable for someone with deep pockets........... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Man, rather than making one, the new RS they have is really my kind of bike. I am waiting for someone coming out with a 4-2 or 4-4, then I will buy one.

The new Kawi looks like it will blow the doors off the Triumph modern classics, and it definitely shares the look of the original.  I think that the XSR900 is the quickest of the retro-modern bikes.

For certain, it's a great bike, but that price is a little steep for me.

Ha ha, you're right mate, but I'll never own either (I can't afford one, and don't like the other one) so I'm just saying which one I'd prefer, if I had my druthers..... ;D
