Greetings all from Western Australia!

I've been riding/owning motorcycles since the late 60s but until very recently I was "bikeless" for nigh on 10 years (last machine being a BMW R100LT).

A close and long term friend of mine who's a very proficient Honda restorer recently asked me to join him on a club ride by offering me to ride his 1974 CB750 (fully restored!).

Long story short....the bug bit, and I purchased a 1972 CB500 Four (K1) which had been converted to a cafe racer, just 3 weeks ago!

The challenge has now started, to restore it to as stock as I can get it!  I look forward to gathering as much info as possible from this forum, and hopefully putting back some help/advice of my own!

G'day Andy, where abouts in WA are you? I am North of the river, have CB 400-4 Not yet started the resto as finishing of repairs to my Guzzi.

I'll go thru MickB's thread as time permits, but a brief perusal looks most informative.
I'm pretty sure the bloke who originally converted my bike to a cafe racer posted on here some years back....can't remember his nick tho'.  Anyway, current pic attached.
