Hello,
It's that time of year again. The Texas Tiddler Run at the Boles Field Campground on May 20th 2017 near Shelbyville, TX is back. This is an all day event on that Saturday but there is plenty of room to camp the night before if you would like. I spoke with Dennis Leggett (the organizer) this morning and he plans to have a food truck there again just like last year.
As some of you may recall, this is a roughly 210 mile out and back timed road rally with checkpoints. Half of the course is covered before lunch and the second half afterwards. There will likely be 30 or more bikes participating and this event grows a little larger every year and if I remember correctly, this is the third annual event here.
There are different bike categories based on the CC size of your engine and I think 250 CC's last year was the largest engine size. I rode my 72 Honda CL100 last year but I plan to drive my 72 Honda CB500 this year - non-competitive category, of course. A few of us plan to meet in Shreveport, Louisiana and drive the 60 miles or so to Shelbyville early Saturday morning.
So please consider joining us for a great ride!!
