Cb 750 wiring harness
« on: April 14, 2017, 03:06:41 PM »

I would like to know the difference between
the wiring harness from classic cycle city and parts n more?
There is a huge difference in price...

Classic Cycle City needs the extra money to pay for their fancy website...

AFAIK all the aftermarket 750 harnesses come from the same manufacturer.
i.e. everyone is selling the same harnesses.

The Parts & More harness I used on my K5 was well made and worked perfectly.

I read somewhere that we need to make some modifications on the harness is it true?

You'll get a lower price when order from CCC since there is German VAT of 20% in the price they remove before sending outside EU, right?

It's been a few years since I looked into it but iirc there are/were only two repro harnesses available.
One for '71-73 and one for '74-76 750's.

Wow, they have added many more harnesses and years then there used to be.
Progress!

Yes, I got my previous post wrong. Like I said it's been a couple of years since I looked into any of this.

What year bike are you needing a harness for?

+1 on my F0.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

I got one from vintagecb750.com for my '78 K8 and it was absolutely perfect. Only thing was I think it had an extra ground female blade connector near the coils. I didn't plan on getting a new harness, but after 40 odd years of whoever hacking into it, even if I could fix it, it's just so much nicer to get a new one, and for $100 you just can't go wrong.
