Which timing? Cam? Ignition? Answer is yes regardless, but it's so easy and fast on these bikes, I have no qualms doing it whenever the tank happens to be off.

wow a couple of my valve tappets were way open. i also cleaned and adjusted my points. bike sounds much better.
