Topic: Gas cap latch diagram

I had the gas tank for my 75 CB550 painted over the winter. The painter removed the latch and cap and now I need to reassemble it.

I checked the service manual but could not a diagram as to how it is assembled.

How does the spring go in?

There were two small plastic pins in the bag, where might they go?

It's back together and running. 

I contacted the painter and he was wondering what the plastic pins were from. So I think they ended up in the wrong bag.
