Separating header from muffler 550FSS

Is there a special way to separate the 2? All bolts are loose/off, Ive tried beating it but it won't budge. Is it just that rusty until it fused?

Help! I got a slip on on the way!

Propane torch and an ice cold wet rag help.

I just separated some old pipes using a repeated process of heat, chill, pull and twist, repeat.  Had a pal to help me cause 4 hands are better than 2!

Yes, it is that rusty.   I had a hell of a time too but they will separate...
