Well the snow is about hisory here in N.Michigan. What else to do but start getting ready for summer. I pulled the project into the "bath" area and washed it down for the first time in a few years.It should be a clean example of a original bike.

Just getting started,still a lot more cleaning and buffing to do. Plus,i have all of the wear maintenace to replace,tires,brakes,plugs,oil,filter,chain ect. I found a stock 4into1 header but i do not have a muffler yet.

A red 76 just sold well at Mecum in Vegas. I think it was my old one, and is probably my favorite 750 so far, I sold it to pay for a sandcast bike I had history with.

Nice to here that Don. I have a question for you did all the f bikes have a honda badge on the rear seat cowl? My 78 does and both 76 cowls i have have scraps,gouges like there was one on there.

Here are the 064a carbs i found from Kentucky. Nice bolt on piece and now i have extras

. Stock air box ,stock 4into1,aftermarket glass pack, should i change main jets? Stock would be #105,but i have #120 , sea level.

77/78 only had the Honda on the cowl. 75/76 no.

Here is the original rear cowl. cracked in a few spots also.

Here is the one i well run. Both had scraping in the same area, must have been a lot of rear racks back then.

I have been very busy this spring with work, but i have found a little time here in the last few days to work on the 76'. i have it running good {sat idle for 30 years}. Looks like the rear master cylinder leaks, and i am waiting on a MAC canister, but i am having a hard time getting the pipe to seal up.

And off she goes. Took the 76 F down the rode today. Ran great,shifted nice and broke when i needed to. Needs tires.

I hope she braked and didn't break, and is now broken. I double disc'ed mine it could make the front tire squeal for mercy.

Yeah. It has good brakes but very pour tires. Ordered 712's for it yesterday. I have logged about 100 miles on her and she runs well. Not quite as snappy oas my 78,but is a very respectable ride. It will only be used for weekday bike nights up M-22.

I have got my new 712s mounted with new tubes and bands. I will install them tomorrow. then ride it up M-22 for a little test.
Headed out to the All Harley Drags at US-131 dragwat today.

thats a pretty long ride from the Grand Traverse area, iffy weather too...you gonna spend the night in the area?

Just got back from us131. We took the car down.was a little dissapointed as the eliminations are tomorrow. We did get to see some very nice quailifying though. Fastest pass was 204.71 on this harley.

Logging some miles of my 76. Tires are working good,shinko 712s are the best bang for the $. I removed the center stand as it was hitting the chain. Lighter is faster "right". The MAC muffler sounds OK but is not a Kerker. Turns heads though when the throttle is on.

Just worked on both my F's centerstands. Running a Kerker on one and a Delkevic on the other. I re-installed the original muffler hanger/center stand stop on the Kerker. Works better than the one I had rigged up. Not really noticeable with the Kerker installed. That's an option for you to retain your stand. It sure comes in handy at times. The Delkevic came with a stop and it works fine.
