Insurance for vintage bike
« on: April 22, 2017, 12:54:28 pm »
I called TD Meloche this morning to insure the CB550 I purchased last fall and I was told they do not insure bikes older than 30 years.

Any recommendations for bike insurance in Canada? I have 4 or 5 bikes and I will probably move them all.

Second issue is having new drivers, both my sons, ages 18 and 16, ride the fleet of bikes.

I had no problem insuring my 73 750 with state farm(I think their new name is certas) along with my 98 Valkyrie and my 79 CBX.  it cost about $500 for the 750 and the CBX.

I got a great quote from Desjardin this week. Not many companies want to insure them up here in Ontario.

Bike is insured with Intact.    Basic liability coverage, $110/year.

And they will insure my 16 year old to drive my bikes.
