Converting sealed beam headlight to bulb
« on: May 08, 2017, 03:03:14 pm »
So, while trying to figure out my headlight issue I posted about, I'm curious as to converting my freshly burned out sealed beam to accept a replacement bulb. Thoughts? Can this be done with this type of lens? These sealed beam units are not cheap.

I have an H4 bulb in mine. Can't recall where I got it but there out there. You have to get a new housing.

I just noticed your other post about the bike you have with 6v system. Not sure about an H4 working on that. I was wondering why you said a sealed beam was so expensive. The last one I bought for my 750 was only $10. I would imagine anything 6v would cost more since they aren't in circulation like they used to be.
