So, I rode my bike today to attend some classes for work. The classes were being held at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Headquarters. I parked in the first row near the building. I went outside to get some fresh air and saw my bike was GONE (and nobody in the class knows me well enough to joke around with moving my bike) This by chance happened to be like 10 minutes after it was stolen. Luckily one guy's job in the class was surveillance and security at that building, so he ran to pull tapes. Another class member is a police Sargeant and we went looking for the guy. Witnesses pointed in the right direction. This brazen Motherf***er stole my bike from the parking lot at a large POLICE HEADQUARTERS!!! Turns out he was seen by another officer pushing the bike down the sidewalk a few blocks away, was stopped, asked if he needed help and said no. Asked if it was his bike, said no, it was a "friend's" on loan and was let go!! We found it on its side a few blocks away, ditched. I was just hoping to find him in the act. Handle bars bent, both levers broken, tank dented, exhaust scratched up, alternator cover cracked/broken. but at least I have it back. I hate thieves!
P.S. If anyone has a good condition alternator cover, please let me know.
