Hello all,
hot on the heels of finishing my 1971 CB500 (my first (re)build), I've got the bug and wanted to do a 750.
I picked up a load of junk the other day - mostly rust but a lot salveageable:
5 frames in total, 3 of which are rollers, and two of those rollers have engines. Separately I have another engine and tons of spare jugs, heads, covers, electrics, exhausts, etc.
The best frame, and the one I have a title for is a CB750K6. The best engine appears to be from a CB750F2.
I have 3 K frames and 2 F frames. Not sure about the 3 engines yet but I'll check the numbers tomorrow.
I'll have tons of questions staring tomorrow but for now I'm curious how interchangeable K and F parts are? I know that the engine internals differ, and that the rake is different on the front fork. Wheels and brake setups are also different.
Will I be able to put an F engine straight into a K frame? and are the wiring harnesses, carbs, tanks, etc. interchangeable?
Really excited to get going on this next project with all of the lessons that I learned here on my first one.
Cheers,
JB
