I figured I'd better put up a list of what's been done to the bike. First off, here it is after I brought it home about 4 years ago. It was a real pile and the PO completely mis-represented what the bike was as well as what had been done to it (which seems to be about the norm).
Some of the highlights:
-Top end rebuild with 550 cylinders/pistons, ported/polished head, +1mm intake valves and all new internals in that area.
-My hands still hurt from all of the polishing.
-Woodcraft clip ons (so much better than the Tarozzi bars).
-Woodcraft spools on the swingarm (so glad I did this).
-All electrical and wiring was ripped out and Motogadget M-Unit, M-Lock, M-Blaze turn signals, and M-switches were installed with all new wiring and Rick's R/R.
-Motogp pipe.
-Dyna coils, ignition, wires, NGK caps.
-Mediocre paint on side panels and tank after beating on it with a ball peen hammer to rough in the knee dents (and some body work by a friend).
-Tank sealer.
-Seat cover.
-Avon tires.
-New chain and sprockets.
-New rubbers on both the intake and engine side for the carbs (do not use torn rubbers).
-Rebuilt front forks with progressive springs.
-Mini gauges.
-Bobbed rear fender and probably more.
This bike has been fun but it's also been a major challenge (many times a royal PITA) for me personally. I'm still sorting out some tuning issues with the carbs but I think it's really close now. This is my first motorcycle and, honestly, may not have been a good choice for someone who lives at such a high altitude (~9,000') but...I took it on. Thanks to this forum and for everyone who has helped and ribbed me along the way. I appreciate the support and shenanigans.
