Why bother with the bucket or flikr??? I've always just attached pics directly to this site. The size limits are much larger than they were a few years ago.

I do that too, Scott.  But in a build thread, I like to do a paragraph of text and then a pic followed by more text, a pic and so on.

No way to do that with an attachment, right?

I think there is a way to place the pic in the middle of text, but I've never quite figured it out.

That would be spelled Flickr. You get a terabyte with no ads for free. Really easy to sign up if you already have a Yahoo account.

I agree. Photobucket is a right cnut of a thing to use. I have found though, things are speeded up if you resize your photos before you upload them, rather than use the 'edit' feature in Bucket. But those ads are seriously annoying.

So has anyone paid, like Steve asked? I'd pay a few quid if it stopped all the crap you don't want.

i'm using google photos which has been working fine. no ads and no funny stuff, pretty straightforward.
the only thing to remember is that you need to put pictures that you want to share, in an album. linking to them won't work if they're just in the general list of all pictures, but only if you put them in an album and link to them there.

This is what I use, but occasionally I have trouble getting inserted images to display. Only happens sporadically, sometimes it fixes itself, sometimes not.
