Topic: 400 headlight bracket dimensions.

Hello,
I just picked up a rough CB400 and I'm interested in fabbing a headlight mount.
What I need to know is the distance from the rear of the mounting tab to the centre of the headlight pivot hole.
Also the diameter of the steel rod used.
If someone could help me out with a couple of quick measurements I would appreciate it.

The headlight bolt centres are 50mm from the back of the tab, 75mm from the face of the fork leg. Also 50mm below the bottom of the upper triple. The headlight support ears are roughly 190mm apart.
The headlight/instrument subframe is of 10mm tube.

Fork tubes measure at 33.25mm if you want to make clamps for headlight ears, fork tube centres are 175mm apart

This is a fairly tough assembly to fabricate. Can't you find a donor one?

Yes. It looks like there's more to it with the bucket, instruments, cables, wires, etc jammed in the area. Do you want the OD of the marker mounting tube as well?
